![]() ![]() Meanwhile, I can have (and do) have v6 installed and workign right along side v10 in Win10pro. Their Thunderbolt top of the line interface and the invention of ASIO Gaurd is a sign they care about the OSX platform-I think it's just a hard developement envirnomenet these days. I don't think it's so much "inferior" as it's gotten to be a crapshoot because they basically change the OS SO often that you kind of get "one Cubase version to one OSX version".and some of them work fine.others not so much. It's been hit or miss in terms of stability, where the same version has always been stable on Windows. Somewhere between 6 and 8.5 (I never used the versions in between)-the OSX side changed. My experience with 15+ years of Cubase and Nuendo use is that every version has been solid on Windows.I used to say it was functionally equivalent on OSX-meaning I don't run becnhmarks or that level thing-but i could always do the same thing basically interchangably on either. I'm guessing here that most of what applies to Nuendo also applies to Cubase, especially since the latest Nuendo has been brought up to Cubase's standard regarding performance, engine etc. I will say though that for me, Nuendo is stable as a rock. I can run most sessions without any issues but when they get too big, the graphics start to bog a little. And from the forums, I'm gathering that Cubase/Nuendo run smoother on PC. The latest version helped a bit but Nuendo can't keep up with the likes of Logic at least on my machine. I have a well spec'd iMac, and I run Nuendo. Though anecdotally just from reading forums and talking to friends and some personal experience too - Cubaseĭoes still seem to run a better on PC.Yeah basically this. I'm sure a Mac spec'ed to the same level (very expensive) would also run Cubase very well. It's an OC 6 core with 32GB RAM 3 large SSD's and 3 large HD's and Cubase 9.5 performance on it UNINSTALL CUBASE 11 MAC PROI have a pro built Scan UK workstation built with Cubase in mind and approved by Steinberg So much depends on "which" when it comes to PC. ![]()
